Korean War Us Navy Fighting Knife

To my bidders: For years I have done business on eBay using the name: gpstorageco*. The items I will be selling from this point on are being sold from my estate and from the estates of friends and relatives.
This WWII Era US Navy Mark 2 Fighting Knife belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. He set aside vintage military items over the years. This blade was on display with some US Navy Korean War field gear.
This particular fighting knife was manufactured by Camillus and was issued with a NORD B.M. Co sheath. It is blade marked US - Camillus N.Y. along one side of the blade at the ricasso (see photos). The blade shows minimal/average use/wear and retains approximately 90% of it's original gray/black finish with most thinning towards the blade tip (see photos). It appears sharpened long ago and still has a sharp edge now (see photos). Pommel and crossguard have most of the original finish remaining but it is beginning to brown (see photos). The leather washer style grip is a dark brown, is solid overall and with the usual small losses (see photos). The crossguard is tight & doesn't wobble and pommel top is tight as well (see photos).
The scabbard is complete/intact and solid overall (see photos). Most all of the gray paint remains to the body and the upper fitting is well marked to the front & rear (see photos). The web upper is solid/intact and the small retaining strap is present with a working snap (see photos).
This is an original US Korean War era US Navy Mark 2 fighting/utility knife. The gray/black blade hasn't been shortened or over sharpened and remains 7 inches overall. The leather handle is original and isolid. The original issue scabbard shows only light use/wear and is excellent overall. Guaranteed original and authentic the knife makes a nice presentation. Great opportunity to complete a USN gear display.
