I have two versions of Medieval 'feast knives' as I like to think of them, identical except this one with horn handle and separate listing for bone handle. This is a great all round utility knife for re-enactors and Medieval persona as well as afficianados that want a nice little all purpose knife and appreciate the rustic handmade look: - Re-enactor/Ren Fair feast knife - self defense and easily concealed inside a boot, bodice or coat sleeve - personal hygiene 'toothpick', trimming nails and hair, shaving - utility knife for hunting (skinning small game), fishing (scaling & gutting), carving and whittling wood, boning & filleting, paring, peeling, slicing & dicing :) 7" OVERALL BONE HANDLE STAINLESS STEEL BLADE HANDMADE SHEATH Comments

. Solid construction for a lifetime of use. I expect you’ll be pleased, especially at this price. I inspect these, take my own photos and measurements, add my own description. Recommended. Some minor
flaws consistent with natural materials and being handmade are possible, but really part of the rustic look. I only tell you this in case you're expecting to get a shiny factory manufactured knife. These are rugged. These are real. And sharp! I’m a collector, a re-enactor and a weekend warrior, active in my local HEMA group and Renaissance Fairs so I get lots of feedback. See my Seller ratings and buy with confidence, plus I ship fast! — A normal blade has a curving edge and straight back. The dull back allows the wielder to use one of more fingers to concentrate force as well as making the knife strong. The curving front edge concentrates force of a smaller area, making cutting easier. A normal blade profile can chop as well as pick and slice. This is also the best single-edge blade for thrusting as the edge cuts a swath that the entire width of the knife can pass through without the spine having to push aside any material on it’s path, as happens with a sheepsfoot or drop-point knife.
